It's been a Week
She's met Grandparents, Great Grandparents, cousins, neighbors, 2nd cousins, 2nd cousins once removed and they just keep coming.
She's been to the doctors, to babies r us and to the In-N-Out drive-through.
Her picture has been taken hundreds of times, by professional cameras, point and shoot cameras, iphones, and "good old fashion" cell phones
We are trying to take it easy this next week as September is going to be a very busy month. All of the Puoci girls will be home, off track from school. We've got 8 birthdays, a wedding shower, doctors' apts, and lots to do as we prepare for Auntie Taryn and Uncle Kyle's wedding in Oct.
The family unit is doing fine. Thanks to everyone for all of your well wishes.

She's Finally Here
Olivia Rosine Puoci
born August 15th
6lbs 7oz
The scoop:
Mom started experiencing consistent though mild contractions around 4pm on Thursday afternoon. Due to mom's delivery record (very fast) and with the knowledge of her doctor, she went to the hospital around 6:30. Already at 5cm everyone thought that this delivery would be fast too. Well... we were wrong. After a couple of hours we had progressed to 7cm and then STALLED... All Night Long... Mom was still at 7cm and was only having sporadic, mild contractions. Since it was late and nothing was wrong we just hung out at the hospital for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The next morning around 9am, when mom was still at 7cm (and with a more proactive and compassionate nursing staff) mom was given Pitocin to kick start labor again. She regained her fast reputation when after less than 2 hours of (regular, very painful) contractions and 2 big pushes, Olivia was born. It's a good thing Dr. Lawton was waiting in the hallway. She barely had time to put on her gloves and catch little Livi.

A whole lot a summer in just one week. UPDATED WITH PICS
One Monday, we went swimming with our friend Mollie. (See previous post for slideshow). Tuesday was spent with cousins, Zach, Zoe, Zane, Jacob and Luka. All eight of Nonna and Nonno’s grandkids were together to splash in the wading pool, play dress-up and have a good time. We even got to enjoy Nonna’s molo (though we missed Nonna herself)
We headed to California Adventure with Mom and Dad on Wednesday. The lines weren’t too long and we had a great time on the new attraction, Toy Story Mania. On Thursday, we went to
Fourth of July Friday was spent at our Uncle Nick’s house for a family BBQ. There was a 40 ft water slide, snow cone machine (margarita machine for dad) water balloons and a lots of other fun stuff. We enjoyed Fireworks in the evening and we conked by the time we got home.
Saturday and Sunday were spent hanging out some more with our cousins and getting ready for school on Tuesday. Jackie was in town on Sunday and we made our own pizzas and played Rockband on the Wii.
But just because school starts on Tuesday (first day of school pics) doesn’t mean that summer is over. We are on the wait list for Skateboard camp, hopefully we will get in.Tori has participated in the past and Annie and Julie are finally “of age” New skateboards and all our safety gear are waiting in the garage. (UPDATE: We got in, check our some pictures) We are also signed up for formal swimming lessons the last two weeks in July.
August will be busy preparing for Olivia and a few weeks after she comes (she’s due 8/21) we are off school again, off track for the month of September which is always a busy month. We are looking forward to another visit from Jackie and bonding with our new baby sister. We will also be celebrating 8 (yes, 8) birthdays that month.
We hope you are enjoying your summer. Let us know what you are up to.
