Point 1: Olivia is not a fan of bath time. Not a fan at all. It does not create the calm, relaxed mood baths do in most babies. Livi gets riled up and after her bath, she gets cocky and superior as if to say, "HA!, I won. You took me out and now I can do anything I want."
Point 2: Livi needs to be bathed a lot more often than she used to. She is a fun, filthy mess, crawling around and getting into everything, day and night.
Point 3: After dinner is a busy time for the PGs. We all have to take our showers, get ready for school the next day, brush our teeth, read our books, etc. etc. And... There are a lot of us.
Point 4: Right now, it's just Mom. Grandma and Nonna have been very helpful while Dad is in WA but it's sometimes easier for Mom to have the evenings solo. We tend to prefer our grandmothers (hey, who wouldn't) and get distracted from our evening routine. (Also, we think it's easier for mom to yell at us if Nonna and Grandma aren't around). And apparently we aren't the only people in Nonna and Grandma's lives. They have houses of their own and other people in their families. That's what people tell us, anyway.
Point 5: Livi is the fairest in all the land... And her complexion is the fairest of all the PGs. She has the most sensitive skin so she needs a good coat of lotion &/or sunscreen on all the time.
All this to say: Mom has moved Olivia's bath time from the evening to the late morning.
The girls go off to school. Livi has a good, messy breakfast. She "fusses" for some time in the bath. Mom lubes her up with sunscreen and then they can carry on with the day with one less item on the evening to do list.
Why didn't she think of this sooner?
