Why Camels Have Humps

Long, long ago, when elephants had short trunks and giraffes had no spots, camels were pro basketball stars. Their basketball was not very different than ours, except instead of using their "hands" they used their mouths.

On the day of the ABF (animal basketball finals) the Camels were loosing! They had never lost a game in the whole season! It was the Horses vs. the Camels. The horses had the ball. Their best player I.M. Great passed the pall to his teammate but R.U. Jealous intercepted it. All of a sudden, Jealous had a coughing attack. He swallowed the ball! He was not aware at the time and jumped into the air and the ball got stuck in his stomach. From then on, horses and camels don't play basketball. Now all camels have humps.

Olivia likes to dance and sing along with all types of "music" even the off tune melody of the ice cream truck and the high pitched squeals of our 3yr old neighbor.

She just couldn't wait

Olivia Rosine Puoci took her first steps today.

She is exactly one week away from her first birthday but she just couldn't wait.

Quick update

Olivia is standing on her own. She's been standing for a couple seconds at a time but this new skill is now mastered. We are trying to DISCOURAGE her from walking until Dad gets back for her birthday but she's determined and we think she will be taking her first steps any day now. Grandma Terry took Livi to get her birthday present early. Yesterday they bought a walker. This way Livi can enjoy it for a week and a half before it's packed away and shipped to WA. SHE LOVES IT. We've got lots of video and pictures we will post soon. The big PGs just have one more week of school at Sunkist. This last month is going by very quickly. The house is almost all backed up, we will be done the middle of next week and will be living out of suitcases until we leave on the 23rd. We are all looking foward to celebrating Olivia's first birthday. It's going to be a big crowd at Nonna and Nonno's house. Tauntie Jackie and Nicole will be in town as well as Olivia's godfather, Uncle Bennett and her cousin Luka! We hope you are coming, too. See you there!

Knott's with Nonna

Mom had a lunch date with her friend today. She was planning on taking Livi along but Nonna took the opportunity to take the Littlest Puoci Girl on her first trip to Knott's Berry Farm. All of the grandkids get to spend special time with Nonna at Knott's. It's a tradition. The PGs and the Kirsch kids have passes and when Jacob and Luka come to visit, one day is always set aside to spend with Nonna at the amusement park. Livi won't get to grow up with the Peanuts Gang the way Tori, Annie and Julie have but at least she's now been introduced to them.

(Olivia didn't actually ride the "Huff N Puff" Nonna just asked to put her in it for the picture since there is a picture of each grandkid in the famous ride)
